Services can be requested from

Applicants may request services from one or multiple cores. A maximum of $2000 in services may be requested from the Proteomics and/or Genomics Cores. No award will be issued for more than $5,000. Please note that you must consult and receive a quote from core(s) providing the requested services.
Global Team Science Awards
$3 Million over 3 Years

The Lupus Research Alliance Global Team Science Awards will support interdisciplinary, collaborative, and highly synergistic projects that push the boundaries of innovation and bridge research and clinical efforts in lupus. The successful Teams will focus on unraveling human lupus heterogeneity by applying cutting-edge technologies to address critical questions that could bring about breakthroughs in lupus care, research or drug development.
Foundation Opportunities
The Office of Sponsored Programs will be the submitting authorized official for these announcements. However, the  Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations  is available to assist Principal Investigators with the preparation of any narrative portions of the proposal(s).  
Moffat Geriatric Physical Therapy Research Grant

Applications Due: August 5, 2020 - Up to $70,000 over 1 to 2 yrs

In support of research on the practice and impact of front loading and treatment intensity. Proposals may be submitted by an individual or by a group of investigators.
2021 Grant Opportunities: Birtman Grant, Regular Grant, Causes of Sudden Hearing Loss Grant; and Meniere's Disease Grants

Applications for all 2021 Grants Are Due: August 14, 2020 - Up to $75,000

At AHRF, we recognize the critical importance of early-stage research. Each year, we award five to ten seed grants to researchers whose work aligns with our mission.
Approaches to Advance Gender Equality from Around the Globe

Applications Due: August 26, 2020 - $100,000 - $250,000 up to 30 Months

To translate and adapt knowledge from around the world to the U.S. with respect to approaches that can improve health or the determinants of health by improving gender equity. Research projects should reflect collaborations between U.S- and non-U.S.-based organizations based on pre-existing relationships that demonstrate the potential for a durable and productive partnership.

Continuity of Care: Education for Rheumatology Patients

Through this RFP it is our intent to support patient-focused educational programs that help both patients and providers address the heightened medical and educational needs of patients diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and rheumatoid arthritis.
Projects that will be considered should include a focus on patient education that will support the initial diagnosis, treatment of rheumatological conditions and also increase patient awareness of existing resources related to emotional health, social impacts, and disease information. Programs that aid in a close coordination of care between HCPs and patients will be prioritized. 
Optimal Early Therapy Management in CML

The aim of this RFP is to support three Quality Improvement (QI) Projects that will enhance systems of care or implement new tools that will optimize early therapy management for patients with CML. The intent of the RFP is to support one project in Canada and two in the United States. 
Addressing Racial Disparities in Cancer Care

The intent of this grants program is to support quality improvement projects that reduce systemic barriers and address disparities in the delivery of cancer care impacting outcomes for Black men and women facing cancer. It is expected that projects are built on the foundation of an evidence based approach and the proposed research/evaluation plan will follow generally accepted scientific principles. During review, the intended outcome(s) of the project will be given careful consideration and projects with the maximum likelihood to directly impact patient care for Black patients across multiple cancer types and those that may be scaled or replicated will be given high priority.
Addressing Knowledge Gaps in Growth Hormone Deficiency

Through this RFP, it is our intent to support educational programs for pediatric endocrinologists.
Projects that will be considered for Pfizer support will focus on:
  • Improving the understanding of the safety and efficacy of growth hormone (GH) administered once-daily in managing patients with short stature.
  • Improving the understanding of the relationship between adherence and treatment outcomes.
  • Increasing awareness of the emerging science of long-acting growth hormone to improve the understanding of their efficacy, safety, and potential clinical applicability.
Telehealth in Postmenopausal Patient Care

Through this RFP, it is our intent to support programs focused on the education of healthcare practitioners (HCPs) to better leverage technology and utilize telehealth to optimize the hormone therapy benefit/risk discussion with postmenopausal patients.
