Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) is a new federal agency established in 2022. It will support transformative high-risk, high-reward research to drive biomedical and health breakthroughs — ranging from molecular to societal — that would provide transformative solutions for all patients.
This agency is a new potential funder for research projects. President Biden's FY23 budget request for $5 Billion for ARPA-H will enable it to take on big bets: running trials, building tools, and testing new approaches. ARPA-H is intended to complement NIH’s investments.

Social Justice and the Socially Engaged Arts
(Office of the Provost)
Internal Submission Deadline: Saturday, October 15, 2022
This program seeks to identify and support research proposals from current Emory faculty members whose research, scholarly efforts, and creative activities address social justice and the socially-engaged arts, broadly writ. Proposals can address work that aligns with a single topic area outlined here or work that integrates efforts across multiple areas.
Proposals should present compelling new ideas for research or scholarly works and must present a clear plan for using these one-time, internal seed funds to create a (mostly) self-sustaining signature initiative at Emory.
