WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY? Federally-recognized Tribes, Tribal organizations, or inter-Tribal consortiums, as defined in the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act, as amended.
WHAT TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE (TA) IS PROVIDED? Technical assistance includes monthly one-on-one TA for awardees, national webinars, training opportunities at NIHB national conferences, and networking with other Tribal, national and regional resources.
HOW MUCH FUNDING IS AVAILABLE? Funding will be awarded to a maximum of three (3) Tribes, TECs, or Tribal environmental health programs in amounts up to $100,000 each. The award is expected to support one entity with significant experience using GIS tools, one entity with moderate experience, and one entity with little or no GIS experience. Applicants must submit a budget appropriate for the project plan and scope.
