Community Organization Proposal Awards

The Mississippi IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence

(MS-INBRE) invites community organizations to apply for the Community Organization Proposal Awards. These awards provide funding to help organizations form community-academic partnerships aimed at tackling Mississippi’s most pressing public health challenges.

Community Organization Proposal Awards are currently being offered to support partnerships addressing Mississippi’s top public health challenges.


Eligible applicants: faith-based groups, public healthcare systems, school districts, social service agencies, and local, regional, Tribal, and state government agencies.


Grant Amount: $20,000 for one year


**Academic researchers can be named as collaborators on an application, but academic institutions are not eligible to apply**


Few Key Dates

  • Letter of Intent Due Date: April 11, 2025
  • Full Application Due Date: May 30, 2025
  • Application Review: June 2025
  • Finalist presentations to External Advisory Board:July 2025
  • Award Notifications begin: August 2025
