Friends,

I’m pleased to share some great news—after months of pushing and perseverance, the mayor’s office has finally approved the continuation of critical programs for District J. This outcome would not have been possible without your support.

Thanks to the many residents who made their voices heard by calling, emailing, and writing letters, we were able to demonstrate just how vital these services are to the quality of life in our neighborhoods. Your advocacy mattered, and it made a difference.

Because of your engagement and our continued efforts, the following programs will now move forward:

  • Overtime for the Houston Police Department to maintain strong public safety coverage
  • The Good Neighbor Program, helping residents with property upkeep and home repair
  • Private Heavy Trash Collection to provide faster and more efficient cleanup
  • Extension of the Beautification Team and Supplemental Maintenance Team, keeping our shared spaces clean, green, and well-maintained

These programs are the backbone of our success in delivering real, tangible constituent services throughout J City. We never wavered in our commitment to making these services a reality again, and we are grateful that the mayor’s office has now approved their continuation.

I remain dedicated to fighting for innovative, responsive, and proactive solutions that move our community forward. Thank you again for standing with us.

Together we will!
