Dear neighbors, 

Our community has shown an incredible mobilization of love, care and protection across Durham - and right now your financial support is urgently needed to continue the Durham Community Care Collective meal distributions to families this Saturday: please make a donation now. 

Between this past Saturday and today, the Durham Community Care Collective is distributing 23,000 meals to 1,150 families across Durham. This has been fueled by hundreds of volunteers and over 1,000 generous donors, most giving under $100. 

We have now expended all funds and will depend on donations that come in on Tuesday to place food orders for our plans to serve on Saturday. We need to raise at least $20,000 to serve families that we have identified to receive food on Saturday. See what went into families' grocery deliveries this week.

God bless each and every person who shows us day after day that we are not alone in this country.
• A DPS Principal shared: I wish I knew how to thank everyone who helped us with (school) food on Saturday! Your team's operation, kindness, and responsiveness were amazing. I wish your volunteers could see the students and families we visited. They were so appreciative during this impossibly difficult time. If there is a way for me to thank everyone on a bigger scale, please let me know.
