Visitation and funeral services for fallen Chicago Fire Lieutenant Kevin P. Ward will be held today, Wednesday, September 13 at the Fourth Presbyterian Church located at 126 E. Chestnut St.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m., with funeral services beginning at 11 a.m.
Expect increased activity and street closures in the area for the assembly and line up at the following locations:
- Michigan Avenue from Walton Street to Chicago Avenue will be closed from 9am to 2pm.
- Streets bounded by Oak Street, Chicago Avenue, Rush Street, and Mies Van Der Rohe will be affected until 2 p.m.
- Chicago Avenue will be open with intermittent closures and a short-term closure between Fairbanks and Mies Van Der Rohe.
Parking restrictions will be in place in the area as well. Please seek alternate routes if possible.
