The Rt. Rev. John Shelby Spong’s funeral service will be held Friday, October 15 at 11 AM at St. Peter’s, Morristown. A reception will follow.

Please RSVP here for all in-person attendance. Out of an abundance of caution and care for one another, masks will be required, regardless of vaccination status.

The funeral service will be live-streamed on the following platforms: St. Peter’s website, Facebook page, and YouTube channel.

Parking will be available at St. Peter’s South Street entrance lot. Metered parking is available on South Street, Miller, and Maple Avenues. See the map here for other parking locations.

Clergy who would like to participate in the entrance procession should arrive no later than 10:30 AM and vest (white stoles) in St. Peter’s Parish Hall. Clergy who plan to be involved in the procession must RSVP to the Rev. Anne Thatcher by 5 PM on Tuesday, October 12.
