NOV 27 & 28: Get your pet's photo taken with Santa!

Santa is coming to WECHS! Bring your pet for a photo with the man himself - human family members are welcome to be in the photo as well!

Photos are a $30 donation and will be delivered digitally within the week. Cash only.

Photos will be taking place in our community room on Monday Nov 27 and Tuesday Nov 28 from 5-8pm.

To reduce waiting time, we are booking appointments in 30 minute time slots - multiple families will be booked for the 30 minute window, so you may have to wait a short time - first come, first served for your appointment time block.

Email outreach@windsorhumane.org to book - please let us know your preferred date and time slot, as well as what kind/breed of animal and how many will be in the photo, and if any people will be included.

Plenty of amazing gifts for your pet will be available for purchase on site - fill Fido's stocking while helping the animals at the Humane Society!

Photos will be taken in the community room. Please use side entrance (closest to the Spay/Neuter Clinic).

Stuff-a-Van at Ren's Pets NOV 18 from 12-3pm

Help us kick off the holiday season by stuffing the Humane Society van full of gifts and supplies for the shelter pets! We will be at Ren's Pets on Saturday November 18 from 12pm-3pm collecting donations. Check out our Ren's Pets wishlist for ideas for what could really make a difference for the animals in our care. Bring along your fur baby and have their holiday photo taken in store!

Our Dog Enrichment Volunteer Program is now accepting applications!

The dog world has many breeds and sizes, each with their own temperament. Dog Enrichment volunteers participate in their care through human interaction, supportive training, and physical activity while they wait to be adopted.

Sometimes it's difficult to get a sense of an animal's personality when they're in their kennels and cages, and so we're giving our bunnies their time to shine! On Sunday, November 19 from 1:30pm to 6pm, we will have play pens set up in our adoption centre so that our bunnies can run around and play, and give you a chance to meet them! Who knows, you may just fall in love with a bun! If you do, you can take them home the same day, and their adoption fee will be waived!

Meet Rocky!

Rocky is a 10 month old Australian Cattle Dog mix, and has been waiting for his forever home for over 2 months, so we told him we'd let him introduce himself to our lovely subscribers.

Hello, my name is Rocky. I am a very young Cattle dog mix, and am looking for a particular home to thrive in.

I am a very sweet boy, but very nervous of new people and new situations. I tend to woof and woof when I meet a stranger, but once I sniff and they give me some yummy treats, I get more comfortable. I get scared of new places, so am looking for a very calm and peaceful home to settle into, with an adopter that is patient and has lots of time to dedicate to a young dog like myself.

I would do best with VERY calm and respectful dog friends if you have one, and a fenced yard. I have been known to get a little anxious when home alone because I just love spending time with my person so much, so someone that has time for a young boy like me will be important. I would love some fun brain games and puzzle toys, as us working breeds love to have tasks and be kept busy!

If you have the calm and peaceful home I will need to settle into, and the patient, loving, and kind heart I'm looking for, then I cannot wait to meet you!

We will be at the Windsor Eats Holiday Market (400 Erie St E, Unit 3) on Thursday, November 23 from 5-9pm selling our adorable ornaments, merchandise, and gifts for your fur babies. Can't make it? We will be at the market again on Thursday, December 14!
