New this year - the WECHS is administering the Town of Tecumseh's spay/neuter voucher program. Applications will be accepted from residents of Tecumseh to assist with cats residing in the town. A maximum of 95 surgeries will be offered at participating veterinary clinics through the town's program. Requests may be made to spay or neuter free-roaming/feral cats or for low income residents to spay or neuter indoor or outdoor pet cats. 

There are lots of young birds on the ground right now and while they may look like they need rescuing, they are actually going through a natural stage of life that all adult birds before them went through. If you see a bird on the ground who is roughly feathered (often their tail feathers are short) and able to stand upright, they are a fledgling and should be left with their parents to continue to guide them to adulthood.
