We're looking for large dog fosters!

We've had lots of big puppers coming through our doors lately, and many of them are in need of foster homes. Our foster volunteers are an important part of our volunteer team! Foster volunteers temporarily care for animals in their home until the animal is ready to move into adoption at the Humane Society (or sometimes they stay in foster until they are adopted). Foster animals may be too young to go up for adoption, require time to heal after a surgery, or need a little extra work on behaviour or socialization. We provide all the supplies, food, litter, leashes, and medical care - you provide the space and love!

Protect your pet with permanent identification! On Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 5-8PM, you can have your dog, cat or rabbit microchipped for only $20 at our drive-thru event at McAuliffe Park in Tecumseh. Please see map for location details. Fees are CASH ONLY.

Pets will be seen on a first come, first served basis. Chip quantities are NOT limited; as long as you arrive before 8pm your pet will be seen so we encourage you to arrive throughout the clinic time.

*Dogs must be on a leash and cats/rabbits in carriers.

Meet Chicken & Waffles!

Chicken and Waffles are brothers who had a rough start to life. Poor Waffles needed eye surgery when he came to us, but he's recovering very well and feeling much better. He is here with his brother, Chicken, who also is visually impaired. After some time in a loving foster home, they are now ready to find a nice, safe fur-ever home together where they can feel comfortable and loved!
