Pet Parade in Lake Zurich

Grab your fur baby and your best Howl-O-Ween look and join us in

Lake Zurich for a fun pet parade at For the Love Dogs, which is located inside the Painted Tree (booth J19). There will be a photo booth and prizes for costumes. There will also be a raffle, with 100% of the raffle ticket purchases going to Furever Home Dog Sanctuary.

FHDS Fall Bonfire at the Sanctuary

The fun never stops at Furever Home Dog Sanctuary! We are having a BYOD (Bring Your Own Drinks) night out at the Sanctuary with live music, a bonfire, outdoor movie, and s'mores. Bring your chairs, flannel and blankets, and kickoff the weekend with us.  Please register using the QR code on the flier below or by clicking this Event link. PAST EVENTS

September 10th Open House



This event was a HUGE success. We couldn’t have asked for better weather and the turnout was incredible. Over 150 people and 40 furbabies came to check out the property and learn about our plans. We had snacks, activities, live music, a photo booth, a silent auction, and family photos. Thank you to all of our sponsors, those who donated their time or goods, all of our volunteers who helped plan the event, and everyone who came out to celebrate with us. This event would not have been a success

without all of you!!

Boy Scouts of America installed fences

An ambitious 17-year-old approached us in the Spring to ask if we could come up with a project for him to complete in order to earn his Eagle Scout badge. Over the course of several weekends, the scouts worked hard to install fencing around the fields for our future dogs. Thanks to all of our Boy Scout volunteers for volunteering your time with us!

Updates on the Design of the Structure

In August, the Board of Directors selected the architect we're going to use to design the structure at FHDS. Over the next several months, our Construction Committee will be helping to design what will eventually become a wonderland for the dogs. We can't wait to share some details with you once they are solidified!

End-of-Year Donating

What are you doing on Tuesday, November 28th? That day is GivingTuesday- a global day of giving where people all over the world come together to support their favorite nonprofits.

This year Furever Home Dog Sanctuary is participating in GivingTuesday. Our goal is to raise $10,000 which, when combined with the $24,000 raised from our Open House fundraiser, will cover our architecture fees- but we’ll only reach that goal through the kindness and generosity of people like you. Will you help?
