I hope everyone had a wonderful Catholic Schools Week! While the snow and ice shortened our celebrations, I hope you were still able to carve out meaningful time to honor our parishes, community, students, teachers, and priests.
As we all know, a Catholic education from K-12th grade plays a vital role in forming our children into who God created them to be. The formation students receive in an environment where teachers and administrators intentionally integrate the Catholic faith into every hour of every day is unmatched by once-a-week faith formation or Sunday Mass alone. I am especially grateful for Nolan Catholic's four-year Theology curriculum, which ultimately equips students to go out into the world, articulate their faith, and confidently defend it—essential tools they will carry well beyond graduation.
As families of students in grades 5-8, you are already an important part of the Nolan Catholic community. We are united with each of our partner schools across the diocese, and we encourage you to participate in upcoming Future Viking activities and our summer camps. Becoming involved early allows students to feel connected, build confidence, and form meaningful relationships with our coaches and teachers well before high school begins.
For our 8th-grade families, now is the ideal time to schedule a personalized campus tour. I would love the opportunity to meet with you and welcome you personally to Nolan Catholic. I look forward to seeing you on campus soon!
| | P.S. On a personal note, I know firsthand that I am who I am today because of my Catholic education. I am forever grateful for the sacrifice and dedication my parents made to provide a K-12 Catholic school education for my four siblings and me. That foundation continues to shape my faith, values, and leadership today. | | Coffee, Talk, and Tour - Friday, February 20 | | |

From Diocesan Roots to the Next Level
It was a special day at Nolan Catholic as we celebrated six seniors who signed National Letters of Intent to continue competing in their respective sports at the collegiate and service-academy level.
We are especially proud to share that all six student-athletes began their educational journey at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School, one of our diocesan partner schools—highlighting the strong foundation Catholic education provides from elementary school through high school and beyond.
These seniors will continue their athletic and academic careers at:
- Trifon Walser – Swimming, United States Merchant Marine Academy
- Olivia Leuschner – Swimming, University of Texas Permian Basin
- Ava Talabock – Triathlon, North Central College
- Keeley Moore – Soccer, Marian University
- Mimi Moore – Soccer, Upper Iowa University
- Danny Cantarella – Football, United States Air Force Academy
Their success reflects the continuity, support, and formation students receive through our diocesan schools. We are proud to celebrate their accomplishments and grateful to our partner schools for helping prepare these students for success at the next level.

College Acceptances on Display for the Class of 2026
The college acceptance pennants for the Class of 2026 are officially going up at Nolan Catholic! Families and visitors are invited to stop by the campus and see the growing display highlighting where our seniors are being accepted.
These pennants represent the hard work, dedication, and preparation of our students as they take the next steps in their academic journeys. As acceptances continue to arrive, the display will keep growing—showcasing the many paths our students are prepared to pursue.
