Welcome, Ashley Smith White

Director of Recruitment and Enrollment

We are excited to welcome Ashley Smith White as the new Director of Recruitment and Enrollment for the Diocese of Fort Worth. Ashley is no stranger to our community—she is a proud alumna of St. John the Apostle Catholic School (’99) and Nolan Catholic High School (’03), and has served in diocesan schools and ministries since 2005.

Ashley and her husband, Chris White (SJS ’96, NCHS ’00), are raising three “Future Vikings” at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School, giving her a personal and passionate perspective on the lifelong value of Catholic education. In her new role, Ashley will help lead recruitment and enrollment initiatives that support families across all diocesan schools, with a special focus on welcoming future Vikings to our campus.

Faith & Fellowship

Cultivating Faith on Campus: Meet Our Full-Time Chaplain

At Nolan Catholic, students are surrounded by a culture that helps them listen for God’s call in their lives. Father Brett Metzler, our full-time Chaplain, is a daily presence on campus—celebrating Mass, offering Confession, leading Adoration, and showing up at practices, games, rehearsals, and performances to support students where they are.

This constant access to the sacraments and prayer life shapes students long after graduation. Alum and current seminarian Joshua Keifer (‘18) shared that his years at Nolan formed in him a deep closeness to God—something he didn’t fully realize until he left for college. Now, he sees that the rhythms of prayer, community, and faith at Nolan helped prepare him to hear God’s call to the priesthood.

From Bible studies led by coaches, to parent prayer groups, to retreats and service, faith at Nolan is not just taught—it is lived.
