Applications are now being accepted for MAFP's Academy Ambassador Program, which brings medical students to the MAFP Annual Meeting July 16-20 in Sandestin, Florida.

Ambassadors travel to Destin and stay in a condo from Saturday to Wednesday with other medical students. Their time is spent working at MAFP events, and some evenings, they are hosted for dinner by groups or residency programs.

In 2021 there were 12 Ambassadors, including students from University of Mississippi School of Medicine and William Carey Univ. College of Osteopathic Medicine. Applications are accepted until Sunday, May 1.

"I loved meeting the other students," one Ambassador said in 2021. "Appreciated their diversity and experiences and it was nice to connect with people from a different school that share the same interest and passion for family medicine."

"The entire experience is a memory that I will never forget," another Ambassador said. "It was an amazing time! I wish it would have been longer!"
