Charitable Remainder Trusts and Recreating the IRA "Stretch"
The passage of the SECURES Act in 2019 effectively eliminated the "stretch" feature of qualified plans and IRAs for non-spouse beneficiaries. But did you know that by encouraging your clients to establish a charitable remainder trust (CRT), you can recreate the IRA “stretch" and continue to spread out that income over the beneficiaries' lifetimes?

Read No stretch IRA? Enter the Charitable Remainder Trust, by Eric Metzger, Wealth Planner, Fifth Third Private Bank, to find out ways CRTs can help your clients. Contact Michelle Lovely, Joe Baldasare or Jill Koorndyk to learn how you can help our clients establish a CRT through The Dayton Foundation.
