Expanding Career Exploration

Partnership with Education Foundations

The Able Trust, in partnership with the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations, recently announced that grants for Futures in Focus are being awarded to the local education foundations in the following counties: DeSoto, Dixie, Flagler, Hernando, Jackson, Lake, Okaloosa and Santa Rosa counties. Futures in Focus will support students from grades 6 to 12 (aged 12-22) who have a disability documented by an IEP or 504 Plan.


This expansion of our career and postsecondary exploration programs for students with disabilities has also received the support of Senator Nick DiCeglie. Visit Florida Politics to learn more.

Career & Technical Education Steers Wakulla HSHT Grad's Welding Journey

Recent High School High Tech (HSHT) alumnus Hunter Bodiford earned his Welding 1 & 2 Certifications while at Wakulla High School and is using those credentials in his career with Hydra Construction and Engineering. Next Stop for Project Venture Finalists - Jacksonville

Round 1 judges have selected the top four Project Venture business plans chosen from 24 submissions by High School High Tech teams around Florida.
