Featured charities to receive GBUACO golf tournament donation:
Save the Michaels of the World - Save the Michaels of the World raises awareness of prescription and other drug addictions. Abuse and misuse of these controlled substances leads to serious illness, depression, deaths from overdose and suicide, and the devastation of caregivers and loved ones. According to the Erie County Health Department, 233 people in the county died of opioid overdoses in 2017.

Save the Michaels House of Hope and Community Resources supports families during their loved one's journey through addiction and into remission. The organization provides a nurturing and supportive environment to parents, grandparents and spouses of addicted individuals. Save the Michaels practices compassion and promotes education, self-help and wrap-around care before, during, and after treatment.
The 501(c3) not-for-profit organization was founded by Avi and Julie Israel after the death of their son, Michael, from the effects of opioid addiction.

Alzheimer’s Association of WNY – The Alzheimer’s Association of WNY is part of a national organization with a mission “to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.”

The Alzheimer’s Association of WNY offers a free online community where people living with Alzheimer’s, caregivers, family and friends can ask questions, get advice and find support, right from the comfort of their own homes. In-person support groups for those dealing with the disease are also offered.

The national Alzheimer’s Association funds researchers all over the globe including projects that advance our understanding of Alzheimer's disease, identify new treatment strategies, improve care and support for people with dementia and their families, and further our knowledge of brain health and disease prevention.

We love a parade!
And we love it so much that we do it in style…and take home first place! That’s right! GBUAHN scored first place among all participants in the Puerto Rican Parade on Saturday, August 18, 2018. The parade kicked off at 1:00 p.m. in front of Buffalo City Hall and wrapped up at the corner of Niagara Street and Porter Avenue. Afterwards, GBUAHN and Urban Family Practice joined the festival at LaSalle Park and provided health screenings, free food vouchers for GBUAHN members and free backpacks stuffed with school supplies for the children of our members. G-Health also gave away bikes and new TVs at the event.
Happy birthday 564 Niagara Street! September 21, 2018 marks the one-year anniversary of the opening of G-Health’s new facility. GBUACO is celebrating with its Fourth Annual Charity Golf tournament, scheduled on the same day!
Caption: The GBUAHN table was the clear favorite at Mayor Byron Brown’s Reading Rules Award Ceremony. Kids were treated to GBUAHN giveaways including footballs, Frisbees, water bottles and much more! GBUAHN was a sponsor of Mayor Brown’s Reading Rules summer reading challenge.
Congratulations to GBUAHN for being a finalist for Buffalo Business First’s Healthiest Employers 2018!
