Project Benefits
Funded by the city's General Obligation Bond (G.O.B.) funding, the new park will become an example of the city's commitment to green space while serving as a model of sustainability, stewardship and resilience.
The 19.4-acre park will include environmental remediation as well as a central lake. It will have open meadows and informal open field areas, along with site grading, a pavilion, six tennis courts with restrooms, a children's playground, dog park, boardwalk, and pathways. It will also include new security lighting, a vita course and fitness cluster, butterfly garden, linear water feature, and parking lot. This project will contain a stormwater retention system and pervious pavement, among other resiliency enhancements.
