G.S. Proctor's Vice President, Trey Proctor, was delighted to attend the Food and Friends 30th Annual Chef's Best Dinner & Auction held at the Marriott Marquis Washington, D.C. on August 21st. This marked the resurgence of the organization's signature event, which had been on hiatus since 2019. In collaboration with Chef Chair Eric Bruner-Yang from Maketto, the occasion successfully united community leaders and business figures for a night of gourmet tastings and curated cocktails, presented by over 35 of the region's top chefs and mixologists.

An exciting addition to this year's affair was the introduction of casino games, featuring timeless favorites like Black Jack, Craps, and Roulette. However, beyond the festivities, the 30th Anniversary Chef's Best Dinner carried a deeper purpose.

The event's proceeds are set to serve a vital role in Food & Friends' commitment to providing 1.65 million medically tailored meals, groceries, and essential nutrition counseling throughout the year. These efforts will directly benefit approximately 4,700 individuals confronting serious or chronic illnesses, along with their caregivers and dependents.

As a vital contributor to the Washington, D.C. community, Food & Friends stands as a singular organization delivering customized meals to homes, a beacon of hope for those navigating health challenges.
