Message From Father Angi
It really looked like the end of the road for her. Caught in the act of a capital crime, her fate lay in the hands of an angry mob. Desiring to kill two birds with one stone, they decided to use her as a political pawn, and so dragged her to Jesus. However, He replied to their tough question with a tougher question. They planned to embarrass him. But he embarrassed them. Reduced to silence, they were forced to admit the hypocrisy of their self-righteousness. They walked away and left her standing there before the only one who was truly righteous. Jesus did not condemn her. He forgave her.
Jesus offers this adulteress a brand new start. He saved her from death and gave her a new lease on life. So what did it cost her? She must change her life. What did it cost Jesus? It cost him everything. This grace is available to you that Jesus gave to the adulterous woman in today’s gospel reading. The question is, how precious do you view it? What value do you place on it? It is offered to you daily through the Eucharist, the Word of God, and prayer. Are you too busy to fit this grace into your schedule? How much effort do you make to grasp the prize? Are you sprinting, walking, or just moping? Actions speak louder than words. Let’s examine where we spend our time, money and energy. That will tell us what we really value most.

Welcome to the New Archbishop Robert G. Casey

In-person attendees included family and friends of Archbishop Casey, two Cardinals, more than 30 bishops and more than 250 priests, deacons, and religious knights, as well as civic and ecumenical leaders, local college presidents, representatives from religious orders and ministries of the archdiocese, and more than 350 parishioners representing the 199 parishes of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.

Sensory Friendly Mass with ASL: Saint John Fisher May 4th 12:30PM
St. Gregory the Great Family of Parishes and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Office for Persons with Disabilities will begin offering a Sensory Friendly Mass with ASL (American Sign Language) on the first Sunday of the month at Saint John Fisher. Fr. Charles Onumaegbu will be presiding, and all are welcome! A special invitation is extended to any person with autism, developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s, dementia, sensory issues, or anyone in the deaf community. These Masses may include lower lighting, quiet music and/or no music, scripture from the Children’s Lectionary, pictorial resources, and shorter more literal homilies; however, the biggest difference is that we try to create an environment free of stigma. We encourage families and individuals to get up and move if needed, to bring alternative seating, fidgets or noise cancelling headphones, and to participate in the liturgy just as they are.

Greeters and Gift Bearers for GA Liturgies
How can your family contribute to the success of our liturgies? We are need of individuals, couples and families to serve as greeters (stand at the Gathering Space doors and welcome Mass attendees to our parish) and gift bearers (bring up the bread, wine and collection basket at the Offertory Procession during Mass). We need volunteers for all 3 of our weekend Masses. Signing up in advance allows the ushers to know who is volunteering and not have to scramble to find a family to bring up the gifts.
Sign up here, contact Kay Froehlich (kfroehlich@gaparish.org) or see an usher when you get to Mass. Thank you for volunteering to serve in these important ministries!
