2021 Reflection
“For we live by faith, not by sight.” Corinthians 5:7

2021 has been a year of faith. From political unrest to the ever-changing challenges of a global pandemic, GA has continued to persevere through its faith in God and God’s plan for the organization. As we look forward to the new year, we also reflect on the blessings and growth God has provided Gang Alternative, Inc. to continue its mission of building character that lasts.

Youth Splash/
Kids Splash Christmas Party &
GPS Toy Drive
On Dec. 17th, our Youth Splash and Kids Splash program participants enjoyed a Christmas celebration with food, a game truck, and gifts.

In addition, our GPS programs held an annual Toy Drive with events across Miami and the Homestead area.
Our youth participants had a blast performing and spreading Christmas cheer to all as a great end to our eventful year.

Thank you to those who contributed by donating toys!🎄

Gang Alternative, Inc. Receives
Bank of America 2021 Neighborhood Builders Award

We’re thrilled to announce that Gang Alternative, Inc. has been named as one of Bank of America’s 2021 Neighborhood Builders here in Miami! Neighborhood Builders is a program that helps address local issues around workforce training and career development through a multi-year grant from Bank of America.

This is an opportunity for funding ($200K!) and leadership training for our executive and emerging leaders. The funding provided by the bank will allow us to expand our workforce and career development programs to include youth and families who do not meet the eligibility criteria dictated by other funders.

In addition to the fund, Ashley Cole, Senior Program Manager, will serve as the emerging leader from GA who will participate in leadership development to continue furthering GA’s mission and level of impact. We’re looking forward to advancing the work that helps disadvantaged youth in Miami-Dade County build character that lasts!
