On August 23rd, Project VICE (Violence Intervention through Community Engagement), held its first anti-violence coalition meeting, jumpstarting an initiative that connects communities and builds strategies dedicated to reducing and preventing youth gun violence in Miami-Dade County. The goal of the coalition is to unite, share ideas and come up with a community-driven plan to reduce gun and gang violence. We got to hear people from all sectors speak on their direct experience with violence with a collective passion for making a change in our community.

AmeriCorps VISTA program, Project ENGAGE.
