A Review of Past Events

Last week we heard from Prof. Karl Kaiser (Harvard Kennedy School), Christoph Schemionek, President and CEO of the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Washington, DC and Dr. Werner Schnappauf, former Minister of State in Germany, who provided compelling and expert insights about the purpose, content and the impact of the Inflation Reduction Act. The panel discussion, which we hosted at the Goethe-Institut Boston, shed light on this vast and complex investment program and its expected and perceived impact on the American economy as well as its European trading partners, in particular in the area of clean energy and industries addressing climate change. This event was made possible with the support of the German Consulate Boston.

Mid-April we hosted a wonderful Fireside Chat with Daniel Hoster, a seasoned finance expert and executive and current head of key clients at BNP Paribas Germany. His mission for the evening was to reflect on the trends & challenges in finance and the economy, but also to have a dialogue on a much more philosophical level, on what winning or losing really means. Thank you to UBS for hosting us at their offices.

The first "Metro West" edition of the Stammtisch took place yesterday at Jack's Abby in Framingham! And since all participants enjoyed it so much, the next one is already in the works for the end of June. Look out for an announcement!

Thank you to our GABC Young Professionals Group for regularly hosting and organizing (almost) monthly Stammtische! They are open to all: members, non-members, and newcomers to Boston! So join them next time.

Together with their partners, GACC NY is delighted to invite you to this upcoming event, just a few walking minutes from BIO Boston:

The Berlin Brandenburg Airport Region is a significant pillar of Germany's Capital Region. A particular advantage is its central location in the European economic area. In addition to the excellent transport connections, especially direct flights to other major European cities, available office and industrial space, a qualified multilingual workforce and a modern infrastructure increase the region’s popularity and make it highly attractive for US companies to set-up a subsidiary.
