A Review of Past Events

Sustainable Living 2030: Our panelists and audience enjoyed a lively and very engaging discussion about heatpumps, the IRA, food waste, sustainable laundry, climate action, what drives consumers to act more sustainably earlier in November. Thank you to the panelists: Dr. Alexander Wuthnow, President and CEO of Bosch Home Comfort USA, Philip Behn, Partner at McKinsey & Company (previously CEO at Imperfect Foods), Tristan A. Foerster, CEO of ClimatePartner, Ben Bixby, CEO of Saturday Robotics and moderator Lige Sun, Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company. Special thanks to GABC board member Simon Alfano for being instrumental in putting this discussion and networking event together.

This event was part of GABC's "Sustainability" series. Upcoming events will discuss sustainable infrastructure, transportation and energy.

Stories from the Diagnostics and MedTech space: At the beginning of November, GABC Board member Alexander Adam (Hamilton, Brook, Smith & Reynolds, P.C.) hosted James Downs (SCHOTT MINIFAB) and Kristin Wagner (MedTech Consultant) at a breakfast meeting where they shared their experiences in MedTech, both in the U.S. and in Germany, and provided insight into trends, in particular in the diagnostics and patient monitoring businesses.

HR Afterwork Networking: Recently we joined forces with FACCNE to host an informal HR after work networking hour at the CIC specifically for HR professionals.

In 2024, GABC is launching a regular HR Executive Roundtable for German subsidiaries led by GABC board member Jobina Gonsalves, SVP and Head of HR at TÜV SÜD Americas. Interested to learn more? Contact Emily Westhoven at emily.westhoven@gabc-boston.org.

Stammtisch: The Cambridge Stammtisch at Lamplighter continues to be very popular! Thank you to Thorben Beckmann (YP representative on the GABC Board) and Felix Kraus (Chair of YP Committee) for continuing to host these informal meet-ups.

EMD Serono to move HQ to Seaport from the suburbs
