A Word From The President
Yogi Berra, the famous baseball player and manager, once said, “no one goes there nowadays, it’s too crowded.” This is how we feel at the GABC these days.
Since January, the GABC has added 22 new members. And unlike inflationary pricing, this increase in memberships is real and welcome. Membership is the heart-blood of our chamber, and our existing members expect and look forward to meeting new members. Who wants to see the same businesses all the time? Change is stimulating and necessary. And so is economic growth.
The GABC has seen a steady growth over the years, interrupted at times by cyclical drop-offs in memberships. The organization has maintained and exceeded its-pre-Covid membership levels and is approaching all-time records for memberships.
We welcome our new members and encourage them to get involved. If becoming a member is First Base toward success, participating at events is Second Base. Submitting newsletter stories and photographs is Third Base, and sponsoring events may lead to a Home Run with the generation of new business opportunities. We, at the GABC encourage all our members to take advantage of what we offer, and to score Home Runs again and again.
We are all looking forward to seeing the new faces as we overcome the Miami Summer and move into our fall programming.

The GABC needs YOU
We are looking for a volunteer to help preparing our
Annual Gala event!
What we need: From early September until mid November, someone who can help 15-20 hours per week (ideally 3-4 hours daily from Mondays to Fridays), supporting the planning and preparation of our event in terms of: helping to select the location, getting auction items, preparation of invitation as well as regular promotion of the event.
Since we are a non-profit organization, we can't offer any compensation, but we guarantee this will be a great experience for your resumé.

• Investigate corporate structure of clients to prepare retention documentation
• Conduct research of facts or local formalities to support legal proceedings
• Act as the liaison among internal departments, clients, and other external partners
• You will be dealing with the world’s largest investors, custodian banks and foreign attorneys in various time zones and with sometimes unknown documentation standards
Abilities and Skills:
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in English and in German
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required
• Must possess strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Detail oriented
• Previous experience as a paralegal or in another legal field preferred
• U.S. work permit
