Miami Beach Cleanup in September
Clean Miami Beach, the Consulate General of Germany and members of the GABC along a total of 185 participants came together yesterday to clean up the Julia Tuttle Causeway. We removed 3187 lbs of trash! What a success! But it also shows what a long way we still have to go! Thanks for everyone that came our to help!

German Unity Day on the 3rd October | |
The German Unity Day was hosted by our German Consul General Christofer Burger who invited members of the German community and beyond. The Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables offered a perfect setting for this special occasion. The German national day is celebrated every 3rd October to symbolize and remember the Fall of the Berlin Wall. The event was catered by Fritz & Franz Bierhaus serving German bites and wine.

Joint Oktoberfest at the Tower Club in Fort Lauderdale
The Tower Club in Fort Lauderdale in collaboration with the GABC hosted their annual Oktoberfest event with a great turnout. The mayor of Fort Lauderdale and the German Deputy Consul Klaus Bohrmann greeted guests together with our board of directors, and members and guests of the GABC and the Tower Club enjoyed an evening filled with German food bites and business networking. After 6 years of being the Executive Diector at the GABC, Leonie has moved on to a new job position. Miriam Moser who has been on the Board of Directors of the GABC for several years, is now taking over the role of the Executive Director again and is looking forward to to continue to support of the GABC. She has been a board director since 2015.
