Lufthansa Detroit-Frankfurt Route
Lufthansa is excited to share the resumption of its direct Frankfurt-Detroit-Frankfurt route. The pandemic has disrupted international travel, but signs of life are emerging and since June 3, 2021, Lufthansa has resumed its flight to Detroit! With 3 weekly flights on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, arriving at the North Terminal at 1:55pm and departing at 3:45pm. The service aims at offering Michigan travelers additional opportunities to visit their friends and family and take a vacation in Europe and beyond. With the resumption of direct service between Detroit and Frankfurt, Lufthansa will be the only airline offering direct service to Germany from Detroit.

Lufthansa and Lufthansa Cargo are leaders in aviation and offer passengers and shipments access to over 180 destinations world-wide. With direct services in/out of Detroit, Lufthansa provides customers quick and dedicated service to the world. With modern, highly efficient Airbus A330-300 aircraft operating on the route, Lufthansa offers a premium experience to travelers in their choice of cabin, including a dedicated premium-economy product that features a larger seat with increased seat pitch, a footrest, 11-inch monitor, power ports, travel amenity kit, welcome drink, two pieces of luggage included in the fare, as well as a premium in-cabin dining experience. In addition, Lufthansa operates a dedicated Business Lounge in the North Terminal that was recently renovated in 2020 and features a quiet oasis and a premium selection of drinks and eating options.

Travel restrictions to many countries are easing. Some countries opened or are opening their borders to vaccinated tourists such as Greece, Croatia, Italy, France and Spain. In addition, permission to enter the European Union may be obtained for essential reasons, including visiting friends and family. More information regarding entry requirements into Germany can be found here. Proof of vaccination can exempt an individual from a quarantine via the registration tool. In addition, for those changing flights in Frankfurt, must comply with the provisions of the Ordinance on Coronavirus Entry Regulations. However, this does not apply if the passengers solely stay within an airport’s international transit area to transfer from one non-EU member state to another non-EU member state.

Since 1999, Lufthansa has been serving Detroit with direct service to Frankfurt. Lufthansa welcomes you back on board and hopes to bring you closer to those that matter most and to the places you want to see. #sayyestotheworld.

Judith Schneider-Jochim,
Realtor® at Real Estate One
Judith grew up in Kleve, Germany, close to the Dutch border. She lived and worked in the lively Ruhr region before moving to Michigan in 2008. For almost 10 years now, Judith has been helping expats from Germany find their new home in the area. Her expertise made her become a 5 star go-to Realtor among the German community.
Educating her clients about the house buying or renting process in the US is one of the first steps she covers with all of her clients. This is important as the process in the US is quite different from what most German clients are used to. Did you know for example that in the US unlike in Germany, all homes that are on the market with a real estate broker are entered in a database (MLS)? As a licensed real estate agent associated with Real Estate One, Michigan’s largest and top selling real estate broker, Judith has access to the MLS and can offer and show her clients all homes that match their requirements, no matter which broker listed them.
Judith can help you or your employees rent, buy, or sell their homes by providing sound and trustworthy advice. Her online reviews as well as her many returning clients prove that she has a very high work ethics and does not stop at only finding a new home for her clients. She also helps them with their first steps into their new lives by giving them lots of valuable tips, helping them to connect with their new environment, and building a new network.
Judith can be contacted at 248-303-8719 or at judy@realestateone.com.
