Many of our readers have been inquiring about GAC membership. We are pleased to announce that our Membership Team has developed a thoughtful plan to re-open the membership process.

Do you know someone who would benefit from membership in Grand Avenue Club? Might you be interested in membership for yourself?
The GAC Membership Team--the members and staff pictured above--have decided to resume GAC's Orientation.

Membership is available to people in Milwaukee County who have experienced mental illness and are interested in the opportunities available at GAC.

You may initiate the process by clicking the link below OR visiting our website, www.grandavenueclub.org and going to the "Become a Member" tab. Someone from the GAC Membership Team will contact you within 10 business days.

Opportunities abound. The GAC community is busy these days with many wonderful projects, including Water St. Boutique, creating nutritional cuisine in our Culinary Unit, Outreach to members, our Zumba class, "Workout Buddies," our Art Collective, Writers' Group and our much anticipated annual trip to Blue Lotus Farm & Retreat Center in early September.

Orientation consists of a scheduled tour followed by an introduction to our 3 work units--Business & Retail Management, Culinary, and Membership, Employment, & Education by working side-by-side with members and staff...and a fabulous breakfast AND lunch!

Once you learn about the many opportunities available at GAC, and decide whether you want to be part of the GAC community, you can create your own goals!
GAC's Culinary Unit prepares healthy, nutritious, and delicious lunches 5 days a week. We also prepare a low cost Supper Kit weekly for GAC colleagues to take home.
GAC is committed to outreach and remaining connected to all colleagues remotely via daily well attended ZOOM meetings.
GAC members are involved in all aspects of running GAC. Colleagues have opportunities to learn administrative, financial management, computer and clerical skills
GAC people celebrate special occasions together, including birthdays, work anniversaries, graduations, and retirements. As pandemic restrictions recede, we will resume our programming on Saturdays, Sundays, and all holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The GAC community created and now runs Water St. Boutique, an "upscale, resale shop with a mission" boutique that is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 11 am to
2 pm, or by appointment. Members are involved in every aspect of the work: from receiving the donations to the point of sale!

WE ARE NOT ALONE--NOT NOW, NOT EVER!
