As of July 9 Grand Avenue Club will have completed one of two annual efforts to raise funds. Our second Virtual Grand Event has been successful. So many people have told us that our new video depicting the GAC community has been not only informative but inspiring. We are grateful to our growing network of supporters.
Throughout the years many members have donated to Grand Avenue Club and have offered loyal support to their own community. We find this inspiring.
Philanthropy is defined as a commitment to promote the welfare of other people by supporting good causes. Considered a critical aspect of a democratic society, it is seen as "love for mankind," as it is derived from the Greek words "philos," which means "loving" and "anthropos" which means "mankind."
We approached William Schram, Janet McCray, Glen Satterlund, Claudine Jackson, and Ray Bierle to ask them, "Why do you donate to GAC?"
We are deeply grateful to all our supporters. If you have not yet contributed to GAC, we hope you will consider making a contribution before July 9. Here is the link to our video, our donor page, and our silent auction (which ends tonight at 7:30 p.m.)
We love having your support!
