Message from GACA Executive Director

Dear Members and Friends,

The GACA thanks you for your membership and your recent participation in our GHSA Vote concerning reclassification. As many of you know the GHSA FULL Committee met on October 4, 2021 to vote on recommendations from the reclassification committee. The GACA surveyed its membership on the following proposal from the reclassification sub-committee:

Proposal to increase the multiplier from the current 2.0 to 3.0 to account for students residing outside the designated attendance zone for all member schools with no cap on the number of classes a school may be bumped up.

The results of the GACA survey were 64%- YES, 34%- No, and 2%- Abstained

The GACA will always attempt to represent its membership and be your voice to GHSA when needed. Please contact me with questions or concerns.

The GACA is excited to host the GACA All-Star Football Classic 2021! Please nominate a Senior Class of 2022, Junion Class of 2023, or Sophomore Class of 2024 to be considered for the GACA All-Star Football Classic 2021 and or GACA All-State Team.

All-State- This is to recognize the best players in the state with a First Team and Second Team for each classification.

All-Star – SOPHOMORE / JUNIOR (Class of 2023 / 2024) – We will divide the players equally to play best of 5 matches at a one-day event in November 2021.
