More than 100 participants completed the survey this year to provide us with a robust report. Our GABO 2022 virtual event took place on January 26, with more than 300 people signing up to learn about the results, featuring presentations by Andreas Glunz of KPMG Germany and Matthew Luzzetti, Chief US Economist at Deutsche Bank New York.
The event included a spirited panel discussion with CEOs: Bonnie Tully of Evonik, Jan Heck of Miele, Crispin Teufel of Lincare Holdings and Peter Riehle of Wittenstein North America. We thank them all for their participation and support.
This year's GABO report focused on how the pandemic affected German companies in the US, including how they pivoted their operations to face challenges such as supply chain bottlenecks and labor shortages.
The GACCs in the US have conducted the German American Business Outlook survey (GABO) for more than 10 years. Its insights into the business activities of German firms operating here have been extremely valuable to a wide spectrum of stakeholders in the transatlantic community.
