Delegation from Niedersachsen visits NYC & Boston
From June 19 to 22, the GACC NY hosted a German delegation from the state of Niedersachsen for visits to New York City and Boston. Nearly 40 companies as well as representatives from the Ministry of Economic Affairs discussed current economic trends and innovative solutions with leading experts from industry and government.
The delegation was spearheaded by Minister Dr. Bernd Althusmann.

At various site visits and sessions, the delegation gained valuable insights into design thinking, sustainability, startup ecosystems, driving technological progress, robotics, accelerating manufacturing innovation and applied AI research.

The delegation held a business roundtable and networking session with guests from our network at the Purpose and Sustainability Center @ SAP in Hudson Yards, toured several labs at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, visited the Autodesk Technology Center Boston, experienced groundbreaking solutions firsthand at the robotics accelerator MassRobotics and learned about innovative AI applications at the MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab.

Guest speakers included representatives from the NYCEDC, Hasso Plattner Institute, the New York City Mayor’s Office and Fraunhofer USA CMI.

IHK Hannover collaborated with the GACC NY to develop this delegation program.
