Caroll H. Neubauer to Retire from B. Braun after more that 30 Years of Service
The Supervisory Board of B. Braun SE last week announced that Caroll H. Neubauer will retire at the end of August 2020 after 32 years of distinguished service to the company, including 29 years serving on the Management Board of the B. Braun Group.

In addition to his service at B.Braun, Caroll has been a director on the GACC NY Board for many years. That includes more than 10 years as Chairman of our Board of Directors. And for two years, he was named Chairman of all the AHKs in the USA (German American chambers).

With his keen business savvy, sharp negotiating skills and spirited enthusiasm, Caroll has been a steadfast supporter of the GACC and its members. We wish him all the best in his retirement, and we’re delighted that he will remain an active member of our chamber!

That's the Spirit!

Bäumer of America Welcomes New Apprentice
The GACC Apprenticeship team happily welcomed a new apprentice to their program this month. Devin McClellan (pictured) signed on to become an apprentice at GACC NY host company, Bäumer of America. Devin will be pursuing both his 3-year DOL Registered Apprenticeship in mechatronics, as well as his related Associate’s degree at County College of Morris.

We are happy to virtually celebrate his accomplishment!

Trade shows have been hit hard in these Corona Virus times. All shows in Germany have been either cancelled or postponed, prohibiting meetings or deals that may otherwise have been concluded.

With this in mind, we’d like to offer you another means to connect with potential clients. Messe Munich has an online program called Trusted Targeting. It allows you to target your potential clients and get your name and products in front them without leaving your home office. You need not be a client of Messe Munich, it is offered to EVERYONE.

Deutsches Haus at NYU Offers Virtual German-Language Classes this Summer
New York's leading institution for culture and language of the German-speaking world will offer Summer Term German-language classes beginning this month.

The Summer Term  session will run for ten weeks, from June 15 to August 22. Instruction will be done remotely (via Zoom) with the university's experienced teaching staff.
