Forum on impact of COVID-19 pandemic on cosmetics & beauty industry
|
|
What a lively and informative discussion we had earlier this month on how the beauty & cosmetics industry is being impacted by the pandemic. This forum, part of our Industry Insights webinar series, was created in cooperation with Claudia Mahler Communications.
Claudia moderated a panel of industry experts comprised of: Amy Rueckl, Director of Regional Marketing, IFF (International Flavors & Fragrances, Inc.), NA, Barbara De Laere, Senior VP & Global GM, Estèe Lauder Companies, Aveda, Britta Fleck Senior VP New Partnerships, THG,The Hut Group, and Feven & Helena Yohannes, founders of 241 Cosmetics.

First virtual delegation trip to Reeperbahn Festival gets high marks |
|
Sixteen US executives, multipliers and buyers from the recorded music industry successfully participated virtually in Europe's largest music festival & conference, Reeperbahn Festival, in Hamburg, Germany, this past September.
This 15th installment of Reeperbahn Festival was certainly different from previous years before but no less of an extraordinary experience: The hybrid format consisted of 100 physical live concerts attracting 8,000 visitors in Hamburg along with online content featuring panels and talks that were fully accessible to the delegation which was hosted by the GACC NY.
As part of the market entry program for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), the US-delegation met with German stakeholders and experts from the music industry in individual digital sessions for an in-depth look into events, distribution, marketing, artist management and international collaboration opportunities.
Additionally, the GACC NY hosted a German American Music Industry Symposium as part of the official Reeperbahn Conference program. The US-participants were able to pitch their company in front of an international audience and learn about Germany’s music industry from high-level speakers from the Federal Association of the Event and Concert Industry, as well as the Federal Music Industry Association.
