SOAR Nonprofit Solutions, LLC |
Time flies when you are having fun! It is hard to believe I retired as a Chamber president / CEO and then started SOAR Nonprofit Solutions, LLC as a way to mentor and give back to an industry I honestly believe in. The last three years have been both fun and rewarding to work with thirteen Chambers. One year later, here are the results of just one of the chambers. “Thought you would like to have this to share with Clients... Since revamping membership with your help, we have seen a 40% increase in members and a 175% increase in membership revenue. I think pairing the tiered dues with solid programming that gets our members engaged has been a one-two punch that the org needed. For this last cycle of board applications, we had nine applicants (again the most the org has had) and were able to be selective with who was invited on and ended up turning away four applicants for various reasons.”
Bob Snead, President / CEO
Southern Palmetto Regional Chamber

The Chamber has updated our look with a refreshed logo. We wanted to create a symbol that could be recognized around Greater Dalton as something greater. This new look serves as the uniting piece between us and our many community partners, including The Dalton-Whitfield Joint Development Authority and Believe Greater Dalton.
On November 8th, the Chamber held our 83rd Annual Chamber Banquet. This year's event was exceptionally wonderful, as we experienced so many new memories. We heard a wonderful motivational message from our keynote speaker, Zach Ward, who left us inspired to say ‘Yes’ to more. We celebrated with Amanda Reed (HealthOne Alliance and Alliant Health, Live4It Community) as she passed the gavel to John Minor (The Minor Firm), encouraging him as he formally took over the position of Executive Board Chairman for the upcoming year. We congratulated Tim Rowe (Dalton Funeral Home) as Diplomat of the Year and pulled off the best surprise when Amanda presented Phyllis Stephens, Chief Operating Officer of the Greater Dalton Chamber, with the Chairman’s Award. Phyllis is celebrating her 43rd and final year with the Chamber before she retires, and we could think of no better way to congratulate her than by honoring her with this award.

Effective Emergency Response Plans
If current events have taught us one thing it is this: emergencies DO happen. As a result, insurance premiums for many facilities are skyrocketing, the cost of defending against lawsuits is rising, and regulatory agencies are paying closer attention to industries’ preparedness programs. Anticipating emergencies and planning your response can greatly lessen the extent of injuries and limit equipment, material and property damage. Click here to read the blog.
