Planting People Growing Justice Leadership Institute continues to lead with purpose, using literary arts to strengthen literacy, healing, and connection in the Midway community. Through programs like Leaders Are Readers, PPGJLI brings together elders, youth, and families to address the reading crisis while affirming culture, identity, and joy. Their work demonstrates how storytelling can be a powerful engine for community wellness and social change. Learn more about how PPGJLI is planting seeds of justice, one reader and one story at a time: www.ppgjli.org

Como Friends inspires community generosity for Como Park Zoo & Conservatory, Minnesota's most visited cultural destination, so it can thrive for generations to come. They value the Midway Chamber business community for their support as members, sponsors, attendees at their events, silent auction item donors, and as ambassadors for and visitors to Como. Statement on Alex Pretti

The Midway Chamber of Commerce extends its deepest condolences to the family of Alex Pretti. This is the second statement we have made reflecting sympathy to a very preventable tragedy this month, and we call for an end to Operation Metro Surge in Minnesota.

Statement on Renee Good

The Midway Chamber of Commerce extends its deepest condolences to the family of

Renee Good. We are saddened by the tragic events that have impacted our region and

recognize the profound loss felt by so many. Our Chamber stands committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all residents and businesses.

ICE Statement

The Midway Chamber of Commerce believes immigrants are essential to our communities and we stand with employees, employers, and neighbors as they confront unreasonably aggressive enforcement tactics of federal immigration enforcement agencies. We urge Midway business owners to educate themselves and their employees about their rights and stand ready to assist in that effort. We call on elected officials to enact a national immigration policy that unites rather than divides and ask officials treat people with respect and dignity.

THC Statement

The Midway Chamber of Commerce recognizes the promise and importance of the THC industry to our economy and opposes the new federal law that hinders the growth of this industry. Stifling federal laws designed to cripple the THC industry will result in job losses and business closures throughout Minnesota and the United States. We stand by the THC industry.

Filled with the playful spirit of early 20th-century musical theater, the evening offers delicious food, drinks, and unforgettable performances, all guided by the charming MC Douglas Kruhöffer (a.k.a.
