Please join us to celebrate the beginning of a new academic year in a lovely waterfront bar just a short subway ride from Midtown Manhattan. We look forward to meeting you all on
Thursday, September 19th, 2024 from 6:30pm at Anable Basin Sailing Bar & Grill in Long Island City, Queens right across the East River from the DAAD offices on 49th St.)
Food (burgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, etc.) and drinks (beer, wine, soft drinks) are available - the first drink and one meal up to $18 is on DAAD! When you arrive, just say hi to Christian Strowa (Director, DAAD North America) Roxana Pleacoff (coordinator for German Stipendiaten), Amra Dumisic, Senior Information and Alumni Program Officer, and Anna Oberle-Brill (Director, GAIN) and we'll give you a drink and food token. (If you're over 21 and want to order beer or wine, don't forget your ID!) So hop on the subway and come meet and mingle with fellow DAAD grantees, fellow GAIN members, as well as our staff, friends, and partners in the Greater New York Region. We're looking forward to meeting you!
