APPLY NOW: GAIN25 Science Slam at the GAIN Annual Conference in Boston
We invite all postdocs from any discipline to apply to compete in our yearly Science Slam competition! During the GAIN Conference Science Slam, competitors present their own research in a five-minute pitch for the chance to win $3,000.
Your audience is your judge, so do your best not only to inform, but to entertain! Creativity is paramount when cooking up your presentation. Digital slides are allowed, props are encouraged, and humor and liveliness are preferred! A diverse group of people from all fields of study will be watching, so competitors must also present their research in an understandable way.

The application deadline is 15 June, 2025. To apply, submit the link to a one-minute video pitching your slam in English:
→ log into your Converve account if you have already registered for GAIN25, or register first
→ in your profile, check the box “I want to apply to present at the GAIN25 Science Slam”
→ add the link to a public or unlisted Youtube or Vimeo video (An unlisted video means it’s publicly visible only to those who have the specific link to the video. It won’t appear in search results, on your channel’s video tab, or in suggested videos for other users.)
→ add a tentative title
→ check that your CV is uploaded in Converve
The Science Slam takes place Saturday, August 30th, 2025, from 17:15-18:45 at the Boston Marriott Copley Square in Boston.
