The Garden State Film Festival (GSFF) is extremely proud to announce that they have been selected as the 2019 Spinnaker Arts & Culture award winner. Get your tickets today.

The Spinnaker Awards are presented annually by the Eastern Monmouth Chamber of Commerce (EMACC) to community members who make a difference and exemplify success in Monmouth County. The 27th Annual Spinnaker Awards Ceremony will be held on Wednesday January 30, 2019 at 5:30p.m . at the Sheraton, 6 Industrial Way East, Eatontown, New Jersey.
The Garden State Film Festival, New Jersey's premier independent film festival® is now in it's seventeenth year! GSFF was founded to promote the art of film making on all levels and fans enjoy the wide variety of film, video and animated works, as well as educational programs conducted by industry leaders along with celebrities, networking and parties.
"We are thrilled to be receiving this award," says GSFF Executive Director, Lauren Concar Sheehy,  " It provides validation to our army of steadfast volunteers, crew, supporters, sponsors and legions of fans who make our event possible year after year. This public recognition is humbling because this award acknowledges our annual event along with our year-round activities that serve to inspire and delight our students, seniors and military. 

The festival has also generated over $5 million of economic vitality to New Jersey.

"This annual celebration of independent film strives to make a difference in the lives of filmmakers and enhance the vitality of the arts community, paying tribute to New Jersey's legacy as the birthplace of American film making. We celebrate that legacy with filmmakers, professionals and fans from around the globe each year. We hope to see you March 28-31, 2019 in Asbury Park."
Each year GSFF attracts record crowds and many industry icons including the festival's biggest supporter, Ed Asner. Audiences include hundreds of industry professionals, actors, producers, financiers, sponsors producers, composers and fans. In 2018, the festival featured 246 films from 22 countries, an open talent casting call, panel discussions, workshops, opening and closing ceremonies with multiple appearances by celebrities and honorees.

The Garden State Film Festival (GSFF) was envisioned by 25-year film industry veteran Diane Raver and the late Hollywood actor Robert Pastorelli in 2002 and launched the following year. Since 2003, thousands of films have made their public premieres, hundreds of thousands of people from around the world have attended; and the total infusion of cash to local businesses since inception exceeds $5million.
