First & Third Grade Class Activities...
Our first graders have been hard at work designing and building ice cities from marshmallows, M&M's, cookies and gummies. They read about a city of ice that is built every year in China. They all really enjoyed this project!
Check out 3rd Grade! They had so much fun searching the South Carolina State House website and learning about our State!
The E team meets every Thursday after school. They had lots of fun at a can crushing party!!! They crushed all of the cans that have been collected and then brought the bag down to the Knights of Columbus trailer where it will get brought to be recycled. If you want to be a part of this fun club stop by Mrs. Broderick's 6th grade classroom on Thursday to check it out!!

Annual Soup Bowl
Soup Bowl tickets went out in last week's Tuesday Envelopes. Each family received 5 tickets in total to purchase or sell. This is a warm delicious way for our school to raise money while also sharing talents and generosity of our Local Restaurants!

We ask that you please return payment for your tickets (or any unsold tickets) no later than Tuesday, January 28th!

Please keep in mind that we still need parent volunteers (i.e. servers, runners, soup pick up, clean up, bake sale, and ticket sales) to name a few.

Thank you in advance for your continued support of our school!

We look forward to seeing you all on the 31st.
The PTO will host a Bake Sale table at the Soup Bowl. WE need families to bring in homemade items. Please see the items we are looking for below. If you would like to send in other items we will gladly accept them. Keep in mind those with food allergies (gluten free, sugar free, peanut free, etc.) All items MUST BE INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED AND LABELED. Items can be dropped off in the Duffy Center Thursday, January 30th and Friday January 31st. One Fair Share Hour in total for your baked goods donation!

Pre-K's Hand Painted Soup Bowls
The students and staff have been busy designing and painting soup bowls that will be available to our school parents for purchase. Any of the bowls that are not purchased prior to January 30th will be available for purchase to the general public at our Soup Bowl Event on January 31st.

If you would like to purchase your child/(ren's) hand painted soup bowl, please fill out the form that went home in last week's Tuesday Envelope along with your payment.

The cost to parents for the hand painted bowls are: 1 for $20; 2 for $35 or 3 for $50. Any bowls sold to the general public the day of the event will be sold for $20 per bowl.
The Soup Bowl is quickly approaching. If you haven't purchased your tickets yet they are still available in the School and Church Offices. For those families who need Fair Share Hours for 3rd quarter this is the perfect time to sign up and get in your hours. Again, there will be several areas for volunteering (i.e. servers, runners, soup pick up, clean up, bake sale, and ticket sales) to name a few. This fundraiser is a fun and tasty way to support our school and to enjoy the fellowship with parishioners and SMCS families and friends. We will also continue selling tickets after all Masses the weekends of January 18th & 19th and 24th & 25th, 2020. There will be two seatings offered, 12pm - 2pm (lunch seating) and 5pm - 8pm (dinner seating). Tickets are $13.00 each or (2) for $25.00. Tickets will also be available at the door for $14.00 each. Admission includes samples of soup from local restaurants, bread and butter, and water or tea.

Soft drinks (i.e. soda, bottled water, etc.) will also be for sale by the 8 th grade class for their upcoming class trip. The PTO will also be sponsoring a bake sale.
Show your NFL team spirit!!
Sponsor a table at this year’s soup bowl and decorate it in your favorite NFL team’s colors.

Entry is $25 per table and you provide your own decor. You will be decorating a 60” round table with 8 chairs. Please provide a tablecloth and decor in your teams colors/memorabilia. However, keep in mind that there are no reserved tables. Anyone is permitted to sit at the decorated tables.

Decorating will take place Thursday, (1/30) from 7pm-9pm or Friday, (1/31) from 8am-11am.

Please note that space is needed at each place setting to allow guests to enjoy the delicious soup.

Sign ups are due by Monday, January 27. Please sign up by emailing ptovolunteer2019@saintmichaelsc.com .

Earn a dress down day for Monday, January 27th. Student Council has decorated and placed cardboard boxes outside each classroom for donations for All 4 Paws. Students are asked to bring dog food, cat food, and other pet care supplies for the animal rescue shelter. The class who brings the greatest number of items will win a dress down day. They will also be invited to accompany Student Council on a field trip to All 4 Paws at the end of the school year. We will take this field trip after school hours as students from different classes are on Student Council. A wish list has been sent home with items that are needed.
