TODAY IS GIVING TUESDAY

Giving Tuesday, a national giving day when Canadians from all walks of life donate to support their favourite causes and charities. Make West Bragg Trails part of your Giving Tuesday.

Your dollars contribute to outstanding recreational opportunities on our all-season trails and our ski trails. Fat bikers and XC skiers, snowshoers and walkers, horseback riders-all of these users benefit from the 150+ km trail system at West Bragg. Donations over $20 receive a tax receipt.

GREAT START TO WINTER SEASON

We have had a busy fall! Severe wind storms in October required over 100 hours of trail crew time to remove fallen trees in West Bragg Creek. We had our annual volunteer appreciation party with over 80 guests attending. Several significant snowfalls in October and November required our grooming teams to kick it into high gear early. Trails had great conditions for fat biking, snowshoeing and skiing much earlier than usual.  We are looking forward to a great season in West Bragg.

The GBCTA couldn't be the amazing trail system that it is without the hard work and dedication of a core group of volunteers. Thank you to the following people for the hours spent this past year working with the GBCTA. These volunteers are members of the GBCTA 2019 100+ club.

FAT BIKE GROOMING FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

Fat biking season is well underway and the West Bragg trails crew has been busily grooming to get the trails in tip top condition. Due to several early snowfalls the team have put in xxx hours to date.

Please support fat bike grooming in West Bragg Creek with your generous donation so our dedicated volunteers and staff can provide the best riding experience for you.  Help us achieve this goal.

Fat Bike Campaign runs from Dec 1 -31st. Goal is $15,000

Saturday December 7 is Global Fat Bike Day.  West Bragg elves will be in the parking lot that day, raising funds to hit our $15,000 goal to support fat bike grooming.  Look for the elves and grooming equipment by the tent at entrance to Braggin Rights 9:30 - 3:30.  We can accept cheques, cash and credit cards.   Donations over $20 are eligible for a tax receipt.

HELLO POTENTIAL TRAIL GROOMERS

We are presently at capacity for volunteers but we would encourage you to forward a resume in the event that an opening arises.  We require 20 hours of prior logged GBCTA volunteer time (trail building, fund raising, etc) so that you can become accustomed to our safety culture and general policies and procedures.

Motivating our current volunteers and recruiting new ones to help on trail projects is the life blood of our organization.  If you think you have the skills and personality to assist our crew leaders in building strong teams for summer trail work we'd like to hear from you.  We supply the media platforms and technical support.
