GBMS Griffins,
“Don’t you know your imperfections is a blessing.”
Kendrick Lamar

Can I start by saying we have amazing students. They have been rock stars throughout CMAS and enrichment adventures. Everyday they show up despite personal obstacles and tackle the day. We are very proud of them. And we are proud of you! You help them get here and you help them persevere. Thank you for all you do on a daily basis.

We will be sending home Academic Letters. Our Academic Letters communicate your child's current Academic Standing. They also communicate if your student will be referred to summer school. Please take a look at those and have conversations with your students.

I look forward to seeing you all at our Enriching Lives fundraiser on April 21st. Check out the website and start bidding now. I placed mine!

In Solidarity,
Mrs. Jennifer Anderson

Enrichments

This week we held another round of Enrichment Adventures following CMAS testing! Students participated in a variety of virtual excursions with organizations like the Butterfly Pavilion, Denver Public Library, DU Law School, History Museum, St. Louis Zoo, NREL, Botanic Gardens and Rocky Mountain National Parks! In person workshops included art with Museo, New Cottage Arts, Pop Culture Classroom, and CHAC. We greatly enjoyed performances by the Martin Gilmore Trio and Brothers of Brass Band! Students will resume their chosen Quarter 4 enrichments next week.
The Book Corner (both digital and physical)

If your student’s Chromebook needs attention, please click on “Helpdesk” at the top of the Moodle page.

Food Pantry
Big shout out to our Beacon Family Ambassadors and Boni. Every Wednesday they meet and distribute food to families in need. These non-perishable items are delivered to our families and other organizations.

If you would like to visit the food pantry, please come by or contact Mr. Boni, the school liaison at [email protected], 720-690-7964.
Want to help more families in need?
We need to purchase a Refrigerator and Freezer so we can store food for our families in need. If you want to help us purchase the items, please go to our donate page and add in the comments that you want the funds to be applied towards the food pantry.
Academic Letters

We emailed and are mailing academic letters to all of our students. Please review their grades with them. Understanding the ongoing Covid concerns, we adjusted the attendance to 90% so more students are meeting the criteria. Please review the report on how they are graded and follow up with their teacher.
