The REALTORS® Relief Foundation (RRF) is a charitable organization dedicated to providing housing-related assistance to victims of disasters. Created as a REALTOR®-driven response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, RRF continues to restore and rebuild communities affected by disasters such as wildfires, hurricanes, earthquakes, and tornadoes thanks to the generosity of individual REALTORS®, REALTOR® Associations, and affiliated organizations.

Thanks to the tremendous support of REALTORS® Relief Foundation donors, RRF continues to provide hope to families across the nation.

GBR Hosts The 2024 Annual Meeting & Affiliate Trade Show Featuring Keynote Speaker, Logan Mohtashami!

GBR hosted the 2024 Annual Membership Meeting and Affiliate Tradeshow on October 15 for over 400 attendees at the Glenpointe Marriott in Teaneck, NJ.

Members mingled at the Affiliate Trade Show, hosted by Campanella Law Office LLC, Think Mortgage, LCD Commercial Lending, Jiffy Junk, New Jersey Lenders Corp. Mortgage Bankers, Top Notch Moving And Storage Inc., Christina M. Rivera, Esq., ECAP Home Loans, Everett Title Agency, New York Life, NextGen Mortgage, Safety Environmental Co. of N.Y. Inc., Reno's Appliance, and Weiss Title Group.

Following a live performance of the National Anthem by President-Elect, Nicola Esposito, 2024 President, Lisa Comito and Esposito highlighted association news, application deadlines, and resources and benefits available to members. The Annual Meeting recognized 2024 GBR REALTOR® of The Year Award recipient, Alireza Memar, GBR's Immediate Past President, for his esteemed career and dedication to the real estate industry. The 2024 GBR Good Neighbor Award recipient, Anotonio Osso was recognized for his philanthropic work within the community, including his recent backpack donation drive initiative with the Community Service Committee and his organization, JL Blessings.

This year's electric keynote speaker, Logan Mohtashami, nicknamed "The Chart Guy", the lead analyst for HousingWire, provided valuable data analysis and insights into the US economy and real estate market. Mohtashami then joined Comito on stage for a special Fireside Chat, followed by an interactive member question-and-answer segment.

A New Buyer Boom?

Real Estate Professionals Are Building Client Loyalty And Responding To Needs Among A Quickly Growing Hispanic Demographic.

Homeownership among Hispanic Americans is at an all-time high of 51%, according to NAR’s 2024 Snapshot of Race and Home Buying in America. Over the past decade, some 3.2 million Hispanics have become homeowners—a 5.4% increase since 2012. Today, nearly 10 million Hispanic households own their own homes.

The Hispanic market represents a significant business opportunity for real estate agents who understand how to serve this diverse group of clients. NAR estimates that in several regions, at least a third of renter households could afford to become homeowners.

While there is no singular Hispanic or Latino experience, shared cultural values often impact homebuying decisions. Agents (Hispanic and non-Hispanic) share insights and tips to support this growing market segment.
