The 2025 application is now available and must be submitted to your local/board association no later than Friday, September 26, 2025. No exceptions!

- Quarter Century Club membership is open to all members of New Jersey Realtors® who have held an active, Realtor® or Realtor-Associate® membership with NJ Realtors® for 25 years or more.
- Proof of 25 years of membership must be submitted with your application. Obtaining proof is the responsibility of the applicant. | | NAR Secures Major Wins For Real Estate In Landmark Tax Reform Bill | | |
The National Association of REALTORS® applauds the U.S. House of Representatives on final passage of the sweeping tax reform legislation that delivers significant victories for homeowners, consumers, real estate professionals, and the broader U.S. economy. The House passed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act by a vote of 218 - 214.The legislation now heads to the President’s desk to be signed into law.
The One Big Beautiful Bill Act includes multiple NAR-championed provisions designed to support homeownership, drive investment in housing supply, and strengthen the real estate economy—a sector that accounts for nearly one-fifth of the nation's GDP.
“For months, REALTORS® across America have been at the forefront of tax reform, making sure Congress understood that homeownership is not only the cornerstone of the American Dream but a foundation for building wealth and strengthening communities,” said Shannon McGahn, NAR’s executive vice president and chief advocacy officer. “We delivered that message backed by original research, trusted polling data, and the real-world expertise of more than a million REALTORS® living and working in every ZIP code in America.”

National Association of REALTORS® President Kevin Sears reinforced the organization’s longstanding ties in Japan, meeting with U.S. Embassy staff and NAR’s six bilateral partners in Tokyo throughout last week.
During his conversation with the U.S. Ambassador to Japan’s economic and scientific affairs teams, Sears emphasized the potential benefits of NAR-supported tax legislation that would permanently increase the qualified business income deduction, quadruple the state and local tax deduction cap, and permanently extend the mortgage interest deduction.
Sears also met with industry groups that share NAR’s mission to elevate real estate professionalism and uphold a compatible Code of Ethics.

If they decide to sell their home, baby boomers—those born between 1946 and 1964 and estimated to number about 76 million—might not want to reinvest their equity in another property. Many favor renting, according to Freddie Mac.
Among the reasons:
- Greater affordability and better control over monthly expenses through a lease instead of mortgage, property taxes, homeowners insurance and maintenance
- Readily available services from on-site management, such as package delivery or plant watering, as seen in communities by Optima, Inc.
- More freedom to lock up and travel
- Greater opportunity to invest capital in non-real estate assets
- Flexibility to move if desired
- Preference to own only one property, typically a vacation or primary home
- Proximity to children and grandchildren
“The younger generation’s location may be based on the strongest job growth,” says Chris Nebenzahl, vice president of rental research at John Burns Real Estate Consulting.
