Gulf Breeze School of Music Family!

Parent Update

Dear Parents and Students,

Starting next Monday, March 23 (after Spring Break this week)
we are not holding any in-person lessons at our school, until we are cleared to do so again.

Your lessons will now all be online !

Here’s how this works:

Your teacher has a link for a Zoom Room. At the time of your lesson, just click the link from a phone, iPad or laptop. You will be prompted to download or run Zoom on your device. Follow the instructions. Start your camera and join audio. You’ll be able to see and hear your teacher!

There will be capabilities for students and teachers to share print music on Zoom as well.

I’ve already been teaching lessons on Zoom, with great feedback from families—

I personally wanted to confirm this is a viable option for lessons, and tested it with some of my students.

Natalie(student): Camera works great, and I could hear Ms. Richter very clearly. We were always on the same page with no glitches. Very easy to use, and it was a lot of FUN!

Corinne (parent): Everything worked great with Zoom. We placed my phone on a music stand, and Ms Richter was able to see the music, piano, and student. It was a great lesson! It was also nice to see some of the lesson which I normally do not get to see!

We’ll send your Zoom Room link and more lesson details soon!

In the next few days, you’ll get your Zoom Room link for lessons,
info on sharing music with teachers, and other tips to make your lessons great!

In the meantime, stay safe and healthy!

This is an adventure and we are all in this together. We may be physically distancing, but we CAN keep the music flowing and our students happy. We are so grateful that we can do lessons online!

If you have any questions, please email our front desk at
[email protected] . We are here to help you navigate all of this!
