Notices & Reminders
It’s Spring Cleaning Time!
It’s time to clean out the garage, basement and get rid of unwanted items….BUT not by dumping them down around the soccer field….instead, if they are really usable items, how about giving them to the S.P.C.A. or Habitat for Humanity?
Also did you know that the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority has a great way  to dispose of unwanted furniture, mattresses, appliances, tires, and paint? The Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority's Ivy Materials Utilization Center is having Hazardous Waste Days on Friday, April 28th and Saturday, April 29th from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. for Bulky Waste Collection.
In addition they are having a special Amnesty Collection on Saturday, May 6th, 13th and 20th from 8:30 – 4 p.m.  The amnesty items are furniture, mattresses, appliances, tires.  The RSWA is located at 4576 Dick Woods Road, Charlottesville  (434) 295-3306. This service is available to Albemarle County, Town of Scottsville and Charlottesville city residents only. The website is http://www.rivanna.org/ivy-material-utilization-center-muc/.  Happy Spring Cleaning!
On-Going Traffic Calming Issues
We must all be aware of our need to keep the Glenmore Community safe for all….Please use the “Speed Indicator” on Piper Way as a way to judge your own ability to enter the community at a safe and reasonable speed. All of us can get a “lead foot” once in a while, but remember we do have posted speed limits through out the community. Piper Way continues to be an area of concern….So come home safely…slow down.
Ongoing Construction News
Proud of the New Playground!
Thanks to Art Peters and the crew for making our community more kid friendly!  The New Playground  is finished! If you are down around the tennis or fitness club, planning on a round of golf, or just interested in this project, please plan on looking over the new equipment. It is located just behind the main pool area, and is for the use of ALL Glenmore residents.
Carroll Creek Bridge is moving forward.
The bridge over Carroll Creek is progressing nicely. We hope to see the project completed within the next few weeks. If you live to the East of the bridge, don’t forget to tell those who are coming to your house that they will need to use a different route.
Rivanna Village
We knew this day would finally get here! The developers of Rivanna Village have cleared the land. It is not our project, but all of us are concerned and interested in the progress. The county supervisors, VDOT and Robinson Development are responsible for the project. As this project progresses we all need to be willing to give our input to those involved.
