Dear GCA member,
Here is your bi-weekly newsletter from the GCA. As always, we welcome your feedback.

Becky Lindway, GCA Communications Director
Carroll Creek Bridge Completion

Red Dirt Construction continues to work on the Carroll Creek Road and bridge with a completion date of late May. The GCA will pave a short distance of roadway connecting the bridge roadway to the original Carroll Creek Road. Additionally, the GCA will install guard rails along the North side of Carroll Creek protecting against cars driving into the pond twenty feet below. The board is also studying the continuation of the walking path from its current termination behind the 3rd Tee Box to Piper Way.

Parking Reminder
Our community has a Parking Policy which states that no vehicle may be parked on our roadways overnight. We are not sure that all members of the community are aware of this and that for repeated violations these vehicle’s may be towed. Most of us are well aware of this and might forget once in a while, but be reminded if you use the street to park an extra car or truck in a continuous manner you might well find that vehicle towed at your expense.
Spring Spruce Up
One item you might check this spring is your MAIL BOX. Is your mailbox streaked with rust stains or have silver streaks on it? Is the flag not red anymore?  If so it is time for you to repaint or replace it. Take a look at the wooden post as well…does it need repainting? It is the responsibility of each homeowner to keep their mailbox looking attractive and in good repair. You can buy a large black mailbox at any home improvement store and do it yourself or hire someone else to do it.  The GCA has contracted with Mike Phillips to replace mailboxes. You can contact him at 531-4443.
 A Note from County Waste

Subject: Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day Residential Service Schedule   Good afternoon, with the start of the summer holidays approaching, we wanted to take this opportunity to let you know what to expect with services during the Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day holiday weeks.

Due to minimal disposal facility closures, the ONLY residential communities impacted during each of these holiday weeks will be those serviced out of our Richmond & Culpeper Facilities.  *** All other Divisions including Fredericksburg, Charlottesville, and West Point’s (Williamsburg) residential service(s) will run “on-schedule” on the regularly scheduled service day
