Glenmore Fall Festival - Saturday, 27 October

Mark your calendars for the Glenmore Fall Festival at the GCA Sports Field on 27 October!

The festivities begin at 9:30 AM with free coffee, hot chocolate, and breakfast fare. We'll have pumpkin painting, a field maze, ring toss, and other activities for all ages. Its a great opportunity to meet neighbors and try out the newly installed Horse Shoe, Bocce Ball, Corn Hole and Volleyball games, or cheer them on from the new bleachers.

See you there.
Date: Saturday, October 27th
Time: 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM

Engineering Help to Construct the Field Maze
We need a few volunteers to help construct a field maze for the Glenmore Fall Festival. We'll provide all of the materials (wooden stakes and yellow caution tape) and the directions on how to build it. We'll set it up on Friday afternoon 26 October. This website explains it all. Let us know if you can help by emailing us at contact@glenmore-community.org. Please include the word "CARB" in the subject line.
Paper Shredder at the Glenmore Fall Festival
As part of the Glenmore Fall Festival, the GCA will sponsor a paper shredding event for Glenmore residents. Bring your important and confidential papers to the Glenmore Fall Festival and have your papers securely shredded while you watch.
The hours for shredding are 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The shredder is for personal papers (e.g., old tax returns, bank records, medical records, etc), and can handle paper clips, small alligator clips, and staples. Remove papers from ring binders before shredding. This shredding event is not for large business related paper destruction. Gather up all your old records, clean out your files and have them securely destroyed while you wait. And enjoy our Glenmore Fall Festival celebration. Jot it down ... 27 October at the Sports Field.
Fall Leaf and Yard Debris Pick-up
It looks like autumn is upon us! In preparation for your yard clean-up, we are planning two fall events. A curb-side leaf pick-up, and a curbside limb, twig, and yard debris pick-up. These are two separate events because of the unique equipment required for each.

Our plan is for both events to occur within the last ten days of November. We haven't set the dates yet, so pencil in your calendars the end of November. We'll give you plenty of notice once the dates are locked.
Does your Child Need Community Service Hours?
If your middle or high school aged child is needs community service hours and is available on the morning of Saturday, October 27th between 7 AM to 12:30 PM, please email us at contact@glenmore-community.org .  Please include the word "CARB" in the subject line.

We are looking for help setting up and managing activities for younger children for the Glenmore Fall Festival. Its a quick, local and easy way to accomplish a check mark while helping out your own community.
