GCA Newsletter
2 September 2018

Dear GCA member,

Here is your latest newsletter from the GCA. As always, we welcome your feedback.

GCA Board of Directors
GCA 2nd Dues Payment for 2018 was due 1 Sept

A reminder ... your second payment of the GCA dues assessment was due on September 1st. Our 2018 assessment payments are paid in two installments of $510 each (on 1 March and 1 September).

We've received questions regarding delivery options for the dues payments. The fastest and best method is to mail your payment to the Associa lock-box at PO Box 27898 Newark, New Jersey 07101-7898. However GCA members still have the option of delivering their payments to the gatehouse. Payments are picked up at the Gatehouse twice a week, and as a result may be delayed.

Remember to include your payment coupon. If you can't find your payment coupon, contact Thelma Washington at (434) 984-0700 ext 1, or by email at twashington@communitygroup.com to get your Associa account number, and ensure its placed on your check.

Thanks
GCA Board of Directors
Dominion's Reliability Improvements
Dominion Energy’s Reliability Department updated their plan for addressing the Outages along the western side of the creek off Carroll Creek Road.

The first phase of the project to connect these areas to the rest of the Glenmore Power Grid occurred in August. The remaining steps will progress over the next few months. When there is a scheduled outage, the homeowners on the west side of the creek will receive advance notice. The wires will no longer cross the Rivanna River above ground so falling trees and limbs won’t interrupt our power.

The final connections will likely occur during the fall. Unfortunately, the teams who do this work also repair storm damage, so the weather makes the expected completion date uncertain.
Drilling Wells on Residential Property
There has been increased interest among our residents in having wells dug to water plants and trees in Glenmore yards. The GCA Board would like to add some direction on this subject to the Architectural and Landscaping Guidelines. Please click this link during the next 30-day review period to see the proposed addition, and let the ARC know if you have concerns or questions about the new guideline.
County Waste Holiday Schedule
County Waste will retain their standard Monday schedule for recycle-able pick-up on Monday, 3 September. Trash will be picked up on Wednesday as usual.
Volunteers Needed ... Glenmore Fall Community Event
